Amy Elkus -- Director of Baseball Operations

Amy Elkus joined the Vanderbilt baseball program in 2021, serving as the program’s director of baseball operations.

Elkus is familiar with the state of Tennessee, as she comes to Vanderbilt from Austin Peay. She spent three seasons with the Governors’ women’s basketball program as their director of operations. She was directly responsible for all aspects of team travel, while overseeing all day-to-day operations of the program.

Prior to her time in Clarksville, Elkus served as an event services coordinator at the University of Minnesota. She was in charge of hiring, training and staffing game day staff, while assisting in many phases of game day operations.

Elkus is a two-time graduate of Kentucky, where she received her bachelor’s degree in kinesiology and exercise science before earning her master’s degree in sport leadership.

Josh Foster -- Director of Baseball External Affairs

Josh Foster joined the Vanderbilt staff in August of 2020 and in December 2022 became the Director of External Affairs for the Vanderbilt baseball program.

He spent hist first two years at Vanderbilt as an Associate Director of Communications, serving as the primary communications contact for the Vanderbilt baseball program, as well as the secondary contact for the football program.

Before joining the Vanderbilt staff, Foster worked for two-plus years at Duke, where he spent time as the primary contact for baseball and women’s soccer, while also serving as the secondary media contact for the men’s basketball program during the 2018-19 season.

During the summer of 2016, Foster was a Duke Athletics Open Door Initiative Intern. He assisted in support roles and became familiar with responsibilities in various departments including human resources, development, compliance, marketing, social media, sports information and ticketing.

A President’s List Scholar and Dean’s List Scholar, Foster graduated from the University of Alabama in December of 2017 with a degree in human performance and exercise science. He earned his master’s degree in sports business management from Alabama in 2018.

While at Alabama, Foster served as a student assistant in the athletics communications office for three years, working primarily with the baseball and football programs.

Chris Matarazzo -- Athletic Trainer

Chris Matarazzo joined the Vanderbilt sports medicine staff in 2016. The 2023 season is Matarazzo’s fourth season as athletic trainer with the Vanderbilt baseball program after spending three-plus years in the same capacity with the Commodores’ track and field and cross country teams.

Matarazzo came to Vanderbilt after two years as an intern athletic trainer at the University of Florida from 2014-16. While at Florida, he worked with the baseball and softball teams.

Prior to his time at Florida, Matarazzo spent two years at Penn State from 2012-14, where he worked as a graduate assistant athletic trainer for the football, baseball and men’s and women’s volleyball teams.

Brandon Barak -- Director of Player Development

The 2023 season is Brandon Barak’s eighth season at Vanderbilt and fifth as the Commodores’ director of player development. Over his first three years, Barak served as video coordinator with the program. Barak spent the previous three years working in the Toronto Blue Jays scouting department as a minor league video coordinator. He also worked for Baseball Info Solutions as a MLB video scout during the 2012 season.

Barak graduated from Illinois in 2002 with a degree in Sport Management and worked with the Illini’s women’s basketball team for four years.

Josh Ruchotzke -- Video Coordinator

The 2023 season is Josh Ruchotzke’s 10th with the Vanderbilt baseball program and his fifth as video coordinator.

Ruchotzke served as a student assistant from 2013 to 2017 with the Commodores and most recently served as a graduate assistant. His previous roles included assisting on the field in training, putting together scouting reports, running TrackMan Software and data entry/analysis.

Ruchotzke graduated from Vanderbilt in 2017 with a degree in human and organizational development. He received his master’s in sports management from Georgetown in 2018.

Walker Grisanti -- Strength and Conditioning Coach

The 2023 season is Walker Grisanti’s third at Vanderbilt and second as the Commodores’ strength and conditioning coach.

Grisanti returned to the Vanderbilt as an assistant strength coach in 2020, assisting with both baseball and various olympic sports, before being elevated to his current role in April 2022.

Prior to joining the Vanderbilt staff, Grisanti spent the summer of 2018 as an intern under Josh Storms with the Memphis football program. He also spent time at Tennessee State in the summer of 2019, assisting with their football program as an intern.

Grisanti served as an intern for Vanderbilt baseball and football during the fall and winter of the 2019-20 season.

Grisanti earned four letters (2016-19) with the Commodore baseball squad while helping the program to its second College World Series title in 2019. He graduated in 2019 with a degree in human and organizational development.

Grisanti is currently pursuing a master’s degree in human performance with a concentration in strength and conditioning at Liberty.

Bailey Provo -- Equipment Manager

Bailey Provo joined the Vanderbilt baseball program as equipment manager in 2021.

Provo spent the previous season as an assistant equipment manager with the Commodores' football program after serving as a student equipment manager for four seasons.

Provo graduated from Lipscomb in 2021 with a degree in psychology.

A native of Kingston Springs, Tennessee, Provo has five sisters and four brothers, and is the oldest of 10 children. He enjoys fishing in his spare time.
